Sundays have a way of always sneaking up on me. And this week was no different. I took my camera everywhere in June while I was on my road trip, and so the last week or so in Florida I kind of decided to put it down and just be with myself and with the moments without my camera getting in the way. So upon realizing it was Sunday I got worried I hadn't taken enough pictures! Luckily I had snapped a few. Just little moments of the things around me. Hope you all enjoy the week ahead and find time to be present in your own moments.  :)

oklahoma eats.

This wasn't going to be about food, but how could it not? An innocent trip to see friends and family turned into moments that were surrounded by eating, cooking, and talking about, well,...food. Hell, my sister even had a party where nearly everyone there was related somehow by the local food community of co-ops, farmers markets, publications, and innocent gatherings to can peaches. Between the party, baking coconut cupcakes, eating at The Wedge with a friend (regretfully not photographed), and visiting a few old and new favorite restaurants I think I can say it was a good visit. And seeing a few of my favorite people wasn't too bad either. ;)

christy & mike // at home

I knew the minute Christy first emailed me that I'd like her. She said she loved my "creative soul" and couldn't wait to see what "magic I'd stir up" in her home. And I knew I'd get along just fine with her husband Mike the day we met because before I'd even taken off my shoes he was pouring me a glass of wine.

They've been in each others lives for 47 years. It started in high school during lunch breaks when Mike would bribe his teacher with peanuts just so he could spend any extra minute he had across town with Christy. They went to different high schools, but it never kept them apart for too long. Now, years later they've traveled the world, had several kids, and can be found most evenings trying new food in their kitchen or drinking wine on the back porch, a place where Christy says they "have their best conversations."

Long story short, Mike and Christy didn't need a photographer to stir up any magic. It was there all along.
