This wasn't going to be about food, but how could it not? An innocent trip to see friends and family turned into moments that were surrounded by eating, cooking, and talking about, well,...food. Hell, my sister even had a party where nearly everyone there was related somehow by the local food community of co-ops, farmers markets, publications, and innocent gatherings to can peaches. Between the party, baking coconut cupcakes, eating at The Wedge with a friend (regretfully not photographed), and visiting a few old and new favorite restaurants I think I can say it was a good visit. And seeing a few of my favorite people wasn't too bad either. ;)
