I found this on the inside of a chocolate wrapper this week:

"You are exactly where you are supposed to be."

And I couldn't agree more...

I have a lot of things I want to say about this week. Like how Wednesday was by far one of the most perfect days I'd experienced in a long while. Like how so many of my favorite moments didn't get photographed, such as the night I stayed up with a friend until 1:30 in the morning eating homemade chocolate malts,  watching Melancholia, and having good conversation. Or like all of the days I ran, including the hot afternoon I ran in just my sports bra - something very liberating I'm usually too shy to do. Or like the day I let a high school student photograph me as I taught her about aperture, shutter speed, and light. I have a lot of things to say about this week, but really, I'm too tired. My mind and body have run out of steam. So I'll leave you with pictures. They're usually pretty good at speaking for themselves.

lauren + joey

I've thought about this photo so many times since taking it. I loved the night of this wedding rehearsal just as much as the wedding. I loved the way the waning daylight subtlety gave away to the softness of Lauren's creamy, white skin and the slight twinkle in Joey's eyes as he looked at her. It's moments like this that remind me why I'm a wedding photographer. Because it's not even about the wedding, or the wedding day- it's about the two people that found love. It's about how somehow, amid all of the other seven billion people in the world,
they found
     eachother.
