A week ago today I was on a ranch in Red Lodge, MT. with one of my best friends, standing in a field, watching the sun set as it lit the golden grass on fire with it's orange glow. (It was one of the best Sundays I'd had in a while.) Only three days later I was back home in Colorado, looking through all 1,800 trip pictures that I took and feeling a bit disoriented after traveling for nearly two weeks. Those two weeks were filled with moments like this sunset. Each day started slow, each meal was enjoyed, each conversation was truly, truly had, and each moment was appreciated in the presence that it happened.
I thought all day today about what to blog about. I knew I hadn't posted the last two weeks, and when this happens I feel like I have let myself down. I wanted to share it ALL. Because you see, when I wasn't blogging, it was because I was shooting. I took my camera everywhere and hardly ever put it down. I have so many pictures I'm excited about that I wanted to share them all today. Then I realized that I should treat the images like last Sunday. The Sunday I ate breakfast at noon, rolled up my jeans and dipped my feet into the creek, let the sun kiss my skin, wandered country land with no purpose, laughed freely, and ate a buffalo burger with beer for dinner. There's no rush.
Happy Sunday everyone. I hope yours was delicious in every way.
